Safety is of the utmost importance at this event. We will be continually monitoring the COVID outbreak numbers and implementing precautions and guidelines for this event. We will send you updated guidelines as they develop. Vaccinations may be required to attend. At a minimum you can expect:
- For the safety of you and others, it is important to stay home if you aren't feeling well. We have a virtual networking option for guests who aren't comfortable attending in-person or who aren't feeling well.
- Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the event space.
- We encourage guests to utilize the “fist bump” or “elbow bump” instead of a handshake while networking. This will reduce the spread of germs.
- We encourage guests to wear a mask when they are not actively eating or drinking.
Parking will be in the gravel lot and meadow by the Visitor Center. A parking attendant will be on-site till 6 pm to direct parking. Once parked, please proceed by foot up the gravel walkway through the white fence towards the historic house. The event will be in the barn to the right and beyond the historic home. Anyone with accessibility needs can be driven back to the barn, but all parking will take place by the visitor center.
If you would like to see the interior of the historic home, it will be open for guests from 5:15 to 6 pm with interpreters stationed to provide general information about Travellers Rest and to answer your questions. Discounted tickets will be available to all guests to return for a guided house tour.
