About Love & Exile Winery:

Founded in 2016, Love and Exile Wines set out to make drinking more approachable and less intimidating. We wanted to break all the wine rules!

Founder/Winemaker, Tyler Alkins, a Canadian citizen, residing in Nashville on a temporary work visa, needed to start a business in order to remain in the country. “I didn’t love my last job and I was determined to do something that I love, and at the same time not get deported.” With that in mind, Love and Exile was born. With just a couple wine tanks in an old auto body shop in East Nashville, we set out to bring classic wine varietals to millennials, who love wine but don’t want to be bogged down with overwhelming technical specifications and pompous wine terminology.

Our wines are always dry, fruit forward, and typically with higher acidity; but, more importantly, our wines are made to be fun, and of course, always chuggable! We put them in cans, not just bottles, we often serve them cold, or frozen, and we even shotgun them. We mix them with soda, fruit juice, or anything else we can think of that pushes the boundaries of traditional, pretentious wine drinking.

Wine is simple, delicious, and should be for everyone. You don’t need to be sophisticated or knowledgeable to enjoy good wine. We live by the motto, ‘if it tastes good, it is good.’ If you like what we do, we invite you to come party with us!
