CEO Chat - ?
As you know, I celebrated my first anniversary as CEO with the Chamber last week. This is the first anniversary of the Weekly Wrap-Up , your member-only email that lets you know the info to get the most out of your membership and stay connected. Do you like the new format we are launching on the anniversary?

I started this as a way to inform members of what we had worked on for the Chamber and how they can get involved and be connected to opportunity. I knew it was going to be work, and several people warned me that it was a lot to do every week. I am proud to say we only missed one week, and that was when I was taking a vacation and it did not auto-send. On the one year anniversary, we are launching a new format for it. We will still highlight new and returning members, and break it down into what we worked on and what we have coming up that you should be aware and take advantage of. I hear back from at least two members every week thanking us for the info we send out, and we see how valued this email is to you in open rates and survey results. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we enjoy writing and working on the things we report. Let us know what you would like to see in them and what you think. We are always here for our members.

We hope you have a great Labor Day. I am out in Idaho visiting family and enjoying nature, and I will be back in office on Wednesday. Lauren leaves Saturday for an Alaskan cruise for a week. We both hope you have some fun over the holiday weekend, and will talk to you soon.

Now take a look at what the Chamber did this week-

We are proud of the continued participation from the following individuals and businesses who renewed their membership this week:
What We Did

We talked with them about safety and parking issues, and how scooters play a role in transit options in the city. We are going to be hosting another discussion in October for Chamber members.

HCA IT Community Day
We were so grateful to be a part of HCA IT Community Day! Nonprofits learned about valuable tools and best practices to solve simple business and tech problems. Thank you to HCA for providing this incredible opportunity for our organization & others in our area.
Podcast on Equity-
The Entrepreneur Center posted the podcast that we participated in a few weeks ago. Check out the live podcast from Startup Shindig focusing on the people who make Nashville a more equitable place. Take a listen to what the diversity chambers are doing to even the playing field for minority businesses.
Diversity and Inclusion
We will be announcing an incredible opportunity for members to hear about Diversity and Inclusion practices in business at a symposium we are partnering with Vanderbilt's Owen School of Management . The event will take place in November, look for more details coming soon.
