What We Did
Tuesday, our community partner and member, Tennessee Equality Project, hosted us and several other LGBT+ advocacy organizations for a lunch, where we shared updates and talked about strategies for the upcoming legislative session. We are working closely together to defend LGBT rights on Capitol Hill. Stay engaged with us or with TEP to know how you can assist.

After the lunch, we held a conference call with our partner and members, Freedom For All Americans, with corporate members. We updated the corporations on the status of bills from last year and what we are expecting to face this year. We will be holding a weekly legislative call with corporate members this year and if you are interested in being on that call, please contact Joe

It is the end of 2019 but we are very busy planning for the legislative session in 2020. Be ready to advocate with us.

Please see the briefing document below to see what bills we have our eyes on in 2020.
We had our staff holiday lunch at our newest member Hermitage Hotel in the Capitol Grille to celebrate the end of an incredible year. Thank you to our President, Ron Snitker, for the delicious end to 2019!

We will be working on a Brewing Up Business at the Hermitage to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage.
Wednesday we participated in another Partnership 2030 advisory committee meeting, hosted by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. We reviewed a draft of the regional assessment report and competitive scorecards that will help guide the planning of the new five-year economic development strategy. There were some very interesting statistics and data points, especially around diversity and equity. We look forward to sharing results with our members as they are finalized.
We had a Predators Pride Night planning meeting with the Nashville Predators and Nashville Pride this week. We confirmed many exciting details: LGBT Liaisons for the Fire and Police Departments will be honored as 'Hometown Heroes', Nashville in Harmony will sing the National Anthem, and so much more! We hope you will join us on February 18th, see details below.
