Happy Valentine's Day! We wanted to share a little LOVE this week to our members and friends. Lauren created some social posts with a call to share local businesses, favorite members, and more! Check them out and share the LOVE.
Speaking of LOVE, I LOVED talking to our members on Thursday for this month’s Member Connect. We had a great conversation and highlighted the work of two great members, small and LGBT owned business Schmidt Government Solutions talked about lobbying and advocacy, and corporate member Amazon spoke about government affairs and the incredible work they have done in the Nashville community since moving here. I hope you will watch and LOVE it as much as I did. Let us know if you wanted to be profiled in the future!
We do not feel any LOVE for LGBT people at the Tennessee State Legislature. The transgender community specifically is under attack from discriminatory legislation. The first anti-LGBT bill was heard this week and more are coming. Please check out the Legislative Update below and prepare to take action. We will be releasing a signup for our open letter of Tennessee Businesses Opposed to Discrimination next week.
We LOVE you, our members and friends, and hope you have a great Valentine’s Day! Stay warm, wear your mask, and keep socially distanced.
