CEO Brief -
We hope you had a good week. Like all of you, we watched the numbers rise on COVID-19 infections.  Record numbers are being set with Wednesday being the worst day reported here in Nashville . We are updated daily on the numbers and the correlating phases of reopening. We are nearing exponential growth with cases and are weeks away from being at capacity with our medical system.
Positive cases have been reported in several of our member businesses, and they are following guidelines of closing, cleaning, and notifying customers.  Downtown has become the new hotspot  and several cases have been traced to bars and restaurants in the area.  Metro Nashville Public Schools will not resume classes in person .  Our friends and member  Nashville Soccer Club had to pull out of the tournament that kicked off the return of Major League Soccer  due to members of the team and staff testing positive for Coronavirus.
We know how hard reverting to a  modified Phase 2  has been on many members. We have advocated for further modifications with the Health Department and Mayor’s Office around certain rules to help some of our businesses at least operate in some way. One thing we will never push to change is overall safety guidelines to protect people. I know our member businesses believe that keeping people healthy is the top priority, and are following rules and doing all they can to do that.
Please do your part and wear a mask! Think about not going out at all. Keep social distancing. We are all in this together. Let us know if we can help you in any way. We are here for you. Stay healthy and safe.

Coronavirus Response
Check out all of our COVID-19 updates on our website and the COVID-19 Resource page.
If you haven’t done so already, we strongly encourage our business members to sign the  Good to Go  pledge. This is Music City’s hospitality safety program to help Nashville residents and visitors easily identify  businesses  in every industry that are committed to health and safety. Pledge to uphold the coronavirus guidelines established by Nashville’s Metro Public Health Department and the recommendations of leading infectious disease experts. Your business can sign the Good to Go pledge  here
