We hope you are hanging in there. Another week, almost another month, gone. Time seems to be moving so fast but also so slowly in this quarantine world.
The economic numbers are starting to look as bad as the COVID-19 infection numbers . The jobs report saw an increase in unemployment numbers again in response to the spike reopening plans moving backward. I continue to hear from members about the fear and uncertainty of what is coming, it is weighing on all of us. We can all do our part to stop the spread by wearing a mask!
We want you to know that we are here to assist you in any way we can to help you get through this and we hope you are hanging in there. Take a look at what we are doing and have coming up to help. |

After sending the Weekly last Friday, we were hit with the news that we had lost another Civil Rights hero that day. In the morning the Reverend C.T Vivian passed , and then we learned of the loss of Rep. John Lewis.
We mourn the passing of John Lewis , an icon of the civil rights movement, who died at 80. He began his nearly 60-year career in public service leading sit-ins at segregated lunch counters right here in Nashville and then across the Jim Crow-era South. He went on to become a force in Democratic politics and broad civil rights for all.
Lewis said “When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have a moral obligation to do something, to say something, and not be quiet. To do what I like to call good trouble.”
Let us pause and reflect on Lewis’s and Vivian’s and all of the leaders from before as we face the current racial reckoning in America. Then let’s keep up that # GoodTrouble . |

Some of the most important work we do and pride ourselves on is supporting our LGBT entrepreneurs and small businesses. One of the many benefits we bring to those types of members is our partnerships and connections to other organizations that help us with that work.
We hope that our members take advantage of our partnership with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (EC) and the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) to get their small business off the ground.
Take a look at the news release below for information on programs and summits. |
