The Weekly Wrap-Up - 6-14-19
Your MEMBER ONLY email on all things the Chamber worked on this week and that you need to know about, to get the most out of your membership. Thank you for being a member.
This has been a busy week and next week is going to be SO much busier. It is the official Nashville PRIDE week! If we ever needed to come out and celebrate PRIDE it is now.
This has been a rough few weeks with backlash towards PRIDE and the LGBT community everywhere you look, especially here in Tennessee. I am sure you have heard about the DA that won’t protect LGBT citizens from harassment , (please join the call for him to resign) and the Knox County Police detective that has called for the killing of LGBT individuals. We are actively involved in both situations and support our partners at TEP leading charge on both of these. We can see that the struggle is not over and we must stay engaged.
Below is everything you need to know about Pride week from the Chamber member perspective. Special deals and opportunities for members only, and tons of events that our members should take advantage of and be a part of. We hope to see you at something this week, Happy Pride!

We discussed the history of Pride and where the movement is headed, LGBT rights, and how business is fighting for inclusivity and diversity.
Nashville Sounds Pride Night-
What a fun night of baseball and Pride! The Nashville LGBT community and organizations gathered at First Tennessee Ballpark on Wednesday to watch the Sounds take on the Las Vegas Aviators for Sounds Pride Night! So many of members brought their ERGs and it was wonderful to work with the Sounds on showing Pride.

Drink Montucky and Support the Chamber-
Montucky Cold Snack is teaming up with the Nashville LGBT Chamber to give back during the month of June, Pride month! In the spirit of their core values, MCS began producing special edition Pride cans in 2016 that celebrate LGBTQ communities and gave all 8% of profits back to LGBTQ organizations from the sales of these cans.
MCS selected the Nashville LGBT Chamber as the Nashville organization to benefit from these profits. You can help support the Chamber by grabbing an MCS Pride can at any of these locations! (Check out the beer finder map! It is SO cool!)
