Come join the Chamber at booth #19 where we will highlight our participating members with a scavenger hunt that you can win prizes from participating. We will also have a photo booth set up with our member Events R Us Photography for you to show your PRIDE on social.
Corporations at Pride-
We are extremely proud to see our corporate members showing their PRIDE in business. You can check out announcements from Asurion, Postmates, and Dell. Small businesses members like Social Link are also showing their PRIDE!
The LGBT Chamber is always a resource if you need help showing your PRIDE in the best way. Earlier this week, Channel 5 News posted their logo with a rainbow background as their Facebook profile picture. It was quickly taken down due to backlash. Please read my comments and more about it here. You can see their response here. It is essential that companies have a fully vetted plan and complete buy-in before issuing PRIDE statements. We are here to help.
We are loving our new workspace and being down at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center!
We look at the legendary Dolly Parton and her inspiring quote that includes rainbows! It feels good having her watch over our work. The EC are proud members and community partners with us. We collaborate on educational opportunities and diversity topics for the benefit of both our members. Members of both organizations receive discounts with the other. Reach out to us for information about an EC membership.
Drink Montucky and Support the Chamber-
Montucky Cold Snack is teaming up with the Nashville LGBT Chamber to give back during the month of June, Pride month! In the spirit of their core values, MCS began producing special edition Pride cans in 2016 that celebrate LGBTQ communities and gave all 8% of profits back to LGBTQ organizations from the sales of these cans.
MCS selected the Nashville LGBT Chamber as the Nashville organization to benefit from these profits. You can help support the Chamber by grabbing a MCS Pride can at any of these locations! (Check out the beer finder map! It is SO cool!)
In addition to 8% of Pride can sale profits, 100% of all Montucky Cold Snack swag sale profits from May 15th to June 16th will be donated to the Nashville LGBT Chamber and other organizations that focus on LGBTQ+ causes.
Certifying Your LGBT-Owned Business-
Wow! What a turnout at our "Certifying Your LGBT-Owned Business" event with the Metro Business Assistance Office. Nashville is growing every day. It is so important for LGBT-owned businesses to get certified as LGBTBEs to be eligible for business with Metro and corporations that have diversity spend initiatives. Find out more about LGBTBE certification and working with Metro on our website. You can see the full presentation there.
