Nashville is opening up, ready or not.
We have heard from so many of you with your questions, concerns, and fears about reopening. We have spoken often with the Mayor's office this week in regard to reopening. They have answered every question I have brought them from many of you, and are doing their best to walk a fine line and give the best information and recommendations.
Nashville will enter
Phase 1
of the
Roadmap for Reopening
on Monday, May 11. That means
dine-in restaurants, dining sections in bars, retail,
and other
commercial businesses
can reopen next week at
50 percent capacity.
In Phase 1, residents should work from home if possible and wear masks in public. There are to be no gatherings over 10 people.
Bars, entertainment venues, and sports venues remain closed. Other facilities that remain closed include nail, hair, and massage salons and gyms/fitness centers.

We know that our members will be responsible as you reopen.
You are required to screen employees for respiratory symptoms and temperature checks, and the city will be stepping up enforcement. We sent an email earlier this week on where to purchase thermometers and get face masks. Both of those supplies are gone and we will continue to look for more to share with you.
Enforcement will be a critical part of the plan and a major issue going forward. If a
business is not following the rules, shame on them. But as Mayor Cooper pointed out, it is up to you as a customer and patron to not use them.
Take your business elsewhere, don't give them your patronage, they are putting you at risk and you should
go somewhere that will keep you safe. It is up to YOU.

|
Check out some great webinars that were done this week for businesses to better prepare to reopen. Let us know if we can help you in any way. I know many of you are waiting and not reopening, that is your right.
We are here for you all. We will hopefully all get through this and not have to shut down again.
With you,
Joe

The city has issued an order urging everyone to
wear face coverings in public
and requiring employees at businesses to wear face coverings.
Businesses are required to
post signage about wearing face coverings
. Signage in
English
and
Spanish
has been provided by the Metro Nashville Public Health Department that you can print and post at your properties.
When you look at the data and transmission rates, and what wearing a mask if you are infected and you are not, it just makes sense and will become our new normal.
|
We are asking all our members and the rest of the LGBT community to join us in wearing your mask and showing your pride!
We will be coordinating with other LGBTQ+ groups on this campaign. We are asking for you to share pics of you wearing your rainbow mask and use the hashtags #WearYourMask #ShowUsYourMask and #RainbowMask.
|
We are collecting upcoming webinars, town halls, calls, and more on our
Upcoming Learning Opportunities page. This is a great resource for anyone navigating the small business loan process, working from home for the first time, or just wanting to connect with the community.
|
In addition to upcoming learning opportunities, we are adding recordings and follow-up resources from previous webinars. Check these resources frequently for the latest information.
