November is here! We hope you had a fun and safe Halloween! We sure did!

You should have all received the newsletter from us earlier today. There is a lot of great info in there so please check that out to see what is coming up. You also heard from us this week on TASTE, helping with our silent auction for that, our December Brewing Up Business, and an awesome partnership with Nashville SC.

We are keeping the Weekly short and just telling you about what we did. We hope you have a good weekend and enjoy this fall weather.

What We Did

Tuesday and Wednesday, we hosted 11 CEOs from across the country that lead LGBT Chambers. We were thrilled to host this first-of-its-kind gathering. Being able to have devoted time to talk and strategize with others that do the same unique work as we do is invaluable.

We of course highlighted our members and could not have done it without them. Thanks to the Fairfield Inn & Suites for rooms, The Mockingbird for dinner, Pins Mechanical Co. for entertainment, Waller for hosting us, and D'Andrews Bakery & Cafe for lunch.

The Mayor's Office reached out and is interested in keeping and growing LGBT diversity on boards and commissions. We are thrilled to hear this and will help connect our incredible members to this opportunity to serve. We are collecting names and bios. If there is a board or commission that you are interested in, please email Joe and let him know.

We attended an incredible event hosted by AllianceBernstein , the Nashville Connectors Reception. It was to help link Nashville’s centers of influence to one another. We were all doing work with AB and this was a way to celebrate all the diverse work they are participating in, and connecting with one another so we can all collaborate. Thank you AB for being a great corporate citizen in Nashville.

We celebrated another LGBT Chamber member with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday! Pins Mechanical Co. is a new addition to Nashville and we cut the rainbow ribbon at their newly opened establishment in the Gulch. We are excited to partner with Pins for upcoming events!

We attended a CEO reception for Jane Allan, the new CEO at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center . The EC board selected a great person and we are excited to start working more with her on the awesome things we are already doing at the EC.

Nashville Area Chamber 's Leadership Connect program is an exclusive opportunity for area small business owners to engage more with the Nashville community and become leaders. Leadership Connect aims to give small business owners from all walks of life a bigger platform for making the changes they want to see in our region. See below to nominate yourself or another small business to participate in this program by November 8th.

Phil Cobucci is the owner of BAM! Social Business , an LGBTBE and a past Leadership Connect participant. He has graciously offered to answer questions about this program, he feels it was extremely beneficial to his business and wants you to be a part.
