CEO Brief -
Talk about an October surprise. The news that President Trump has COVID-19 should wake everyone up that this is not over or under control. Nashville moved to Phase 3 on Thursday and the changes allow for more interactions with others. This is taking place while spikes in infections are occurring across the country. Here in Tennessee, we saw an 11% increase in hospitalizations this week. We are not out of the woods yet and while we might be moving forward in phases, we will move back if our numbers spike again.

Please keep focused on stopping the spread. If you are feeling ill, get tested. I was having symptoms and went to the Meharry testing drive-thru, was done in 15 minutes, and had my results the next morning. I was negative for COVID, it is just a bad cold, but at least I know. It is very good that we have testing taking place and getting back results quickly. That, along with mask-wearing, will allow us to slow the spread and continue to open our economy. Do your part.
There are several new COVID-19 resources that I hope our small business and entrepreneur members will take advantage of. We continue to offer educational and networking programs for everyone. We hope you will join us on an upcoming one. Stay safe, mask-up, be kind, and get ready to VOTE.
