CEO Brief- ?
We solidified some great community partnerships this week. The
Nashville Soccer Club
is an official member and boy do we have some great things in store. Our work with the
Area Chamber
is only continuing to grow just as our memberships with each other are. We are looking forward to what the future holds collaborating with one another even more. We also had a great meeting with the
Center for Nonprofit Management
this week. They are the go-to organization for nonprofit work. I sit on their CEO advisory board and we discussed some very exciting work in store that we will connect to you.
The connections that were made at our Pride in Business meeting on Tuesday were many. I love this meeting and the discussions that are had there. Our corporate members are doing incredible things and we love getting them together to discuss and plan even more gains in the diversity and inclusion arena. As our corporations continue to push these initiatives, the effects are felt far outside the organization's walls.
Our corporate members really stepped up with TASTE sponsorship this week. We want to welcome our new TASTE sponsors- Amazon (Gold Chef), Liberty Party Rental (Gold Chef), Tito’s Vodka (Gold Chef), Nashville Area Chamber (Award), SunTrust Bank (Award). We can't raise the funds we need from TASTE if it were not for our sponsors. Check them all out
here
, and
read more about TASTE
and get your tickets before they go up in price.
I had a good meeting yesterday with the Mayor's Office. They have a lot of work in front of them and are dealing with the major issues affecting Nashville. It is all about commitment to causes, and I would like to see a bigger commitment to diversity and inclusion coming from the office. We discussed this at great length and we are here to work with them. I recommend you
read this story in the Scene
today to see how many important issues are out there and need attention, and if you can help us continue the push for equity and inclusion advancement with this mayor, we would appreciate it. We understand that there are only so many things you can focus on in-depth, this should be one of them.
